7 Reasons Why NoteShelf is a Top Notch App for Digital Planning

by - February 21, 2023

An annotation app is the first thing you will need on your tablet to use your digital planner. This type of app will allow you to add text, photos, and other customizations. The first app I tried, NoteShelf, is the app I stayed with. It is easy to use and has many great features.

1. Create Notebooks

The NoteShelf app allows the creation of notebooks with included templates. If you're someone who likes to compartmentalize everything, this feature is ideal! Besides creating notebooks in the app, you can upload your own pdf planners. Depending on the size of your tablet, you can add as many notebooks as you need.

2. Handwriting Recognition

NoteShelf has excellent handwriting recognition ability. This allows users to write notes with their stylus (or even their finger) and have them converted to text. I like a mixture of handwriting and typing in my planners. In my planner, I use the text conversion tool to label different sections of my planner

3. Annotation and Markup Tools

NoteShelf includes markup tools, such as highlighters, pens, pencils, and erasers. Other features allow you to also add shapes, stickers, and images to your notes.

4. Audio and Video Recording

I have only tried this a few times as I am not a fan of my voice or seeing myself on video (LOL!). It's an interesting feature, though. You can insert recordings and videos into your document. This would be useful if you were using this app as a college student taking notes.

5. Cloud Syncing

NoteShelf uses cloud storage services, to sync your pages across devices. I backed my planner to Dropbox. I like that I can recover my pages and/or information if I happen to delete something!

6. Customizable Templates

I enjoy creating my own templates (planners), so I don't use many of the customized templates. They are ideal, though, for someone who downloads the app and wants to get started right away. You can find to-do lists, calendars, meeting notes, and more. I use the included paper templates to sometimes add extra notes to my planner.

7. Exporting Options

This app allows users to export their creations in various formats, such as PDF, PNG, and JPEG. It is easy to share your notes with others or print them out.

NoteShelf is a versatile and powerful note-taking app with a wide range of features. It can help you create, organize, and annotate notes and planners. If you've had trouble finding an annotation app that works for you, I recommend giving this one a try. It's very easy to use.
